Eco friendly disabled access compost toilet

Disabled access outdoor compost toilet at Bristol's Potters Den

A community-project install we're particularly fond of. Bristol's Potters Den, run by United Response, recently took delivery of a spacious disabled-access compost loo — a welcome addition to the allotment site.

About Potters Den

Potters Den is a community-based project supported by United Response, a UK-wide charity that works with people with learning disabilities, mental health needs and autism. The allotment provides a space for participants to grow food, learn skills and spend time outdoors — the new accessible compost toilet means everyone can use the site for longer sessions.

Why compost toilets for community projects

Most allotment sites have no mains drainage, which means traditional accessible toilets are expensive or impossible to install. A compost toilet — with a urine separator inside doing the smell-prevention heavy lifting — is a practical, affordable answer.

We've supplied separators for similar community projects, schools and allotments across the UK and internationally. For institutional and bulk orders see our Wholesale & Trade page; for a single build, start with our £31 Urine Separator.
